Crisis

Axia is a land with a glorious past, an uncertain present and a more unpredictable future. It has fallen on hard times and it’s people are suffering. *stares into camera with worry*

In Crisis each player takes on the role of an investor that sees this economic crisis as an opportunity to grow their fortune. To do so, they must bail out struggling businesses, recruit employees, raise capital, and produce goods for export. They can cut corners, but their actions could hurt the economy, leading to bankruptcy for Axia...

To play this game players start with a limited amount of money that they can use to build their empire.

One of the ways they can begin to do that is investing in companies, the main way to generate points in the game.

On each company there are slots for required Employees and resources that are needed for the company to operate.

There are also slots for bonus Employees which can increase the company’s efficiency and allow it to produce more resources, points or money.

Players can do that during the game’s 7 rounds, unless of course, the country goes bankrupt in which case, only players above the economic threshold will be eligible to win the game.

Each round starts with an Event card which is determined by the economic state of Axia.

After Event cards, each player must pay interest on any loans they’ve taken out. Then each player takes a manager meeple and in clockwise order they plan for the future, collecting resources, taking out loans, hiring managers, investing in companies and selling their goods.

After they’ve decided all of the actions they’re going to take, they do so in the operations phase, taking all actions, collecting goods and money and then operating their businesses, After this players may export their goods for money and points, helping the economy, or they can choose to export their goods on the black market for cash, but this will not help the economic state of Axia.

The game ends when either the country goes bankrupt or if the Axia has survived a total of 7 rounds. And that should give you a general idea of how to play, but not how to save, Axia.
